Each week, I engage in reflection on the readings, assigned by my instructor. The purpose of this reflection is for me to synthesize the main points from the readings as well as make connections to my practice as a supervisor.  Therefore, I have not been summarizing the readings, but reflecting on the connections between the readings and my...

1) current practice as a supervisor (may be worded as implications), and/or

2) previous experiences with supervision, teaching and learning, etc., and/or

3) connections to other readings in this class or other classes.

 

Through this discussion of my practice there are explicit connections to the weekly readings. This reflection journal serves as one of the main sources of data collection for my inquiry.

Mid-term Reflective Journal Analysis:
At the mid-term, I read over my weekly journal entries, then engaged in a thematic analysis of these journals using the following questions to make some initial claims about what I am learning about myself, as a supervisor. From there, I developed a wondering specific to explore for the final weeks of the semester based on this initial analysis of beliefs and practice.
